If you want to have your case examined by another party
If you for some reason are not satisfied after you have received a reply from Eir’s Complaint Manager, you can have your case examined by other authorities, such as.

National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN)

Here you can, as a private person, have your insurance issues examined free of charge.

Exceptions to this are medical examinations and cases handled in the courts. Address: The National Board for Consumer Disputes, Box 174, 102 23 Stockholm, telephone 08-508 86000

The Board for Legal Protection Insurance Issues (FNR)

Here, you can obtain an assessment of the scope of the insurance terms, issues regarding claims related to those terms and to traffic insurance, as well as issues regarding review procedures concerning the appropriateness of the insurance representative. Address: Svensk Försäkrings Nämnder, Box 24067, 104 50 Stockholm telephone 08-522 787 20.

The Road Traffic Injuries Commission

Here, certain reviews are obligatory and should always be tested by  the authority. In the case of an obligatory review, Eir can provide assistance. The authority is independent of all insurance companies and exists to ensure a standard and reasonable claims settlement within traffic insurance. If the review is not obligatory, Eir has no obligation to obtain a statement from the authority. Address: Trafikskadenämnden, Box 24048, 104 50 Stockholm.

The Courts

You can always have a dispute tested in district court. The majority of insurance contracts also include legal expenses insurance providing compensation for court costs.
